| Private Duty Care is for people who need assistance with daily living activities in the home. Services include personal hygiene, medication reminders, food preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, respite for caregivers, and in-hospital sitters.
Private Duty rates are competitive. Rates are charged on an hourly or shift basis, and are available 24 hours a day, including holidays and weekends.
VNA Private Duty services use carefully screened, experienced, trained clinicians and support personnel who are supervised by a registered nurse.
Private Duty service detail
Bath & Body
A one- to two-hour visit by a Certified Nurse Aide either in the morning or evening in order to provide complete personal hygiene care. As little as one visit may be requested or a series of visits can be arranged.
Home Services
An attendant or Certified Nurse Aide will provide assistance with household duties such as the preparation of light meals, light housekeeping, and assistance with other daily activities.
Respite Care
A Certified Home Health Aide takes over the care of the client for a few hours to provide relief to the primary caregiver. This time can be valuable in allowing a family member to run errands or to take much-needed break from the demands of care giving.
In-Hospital Sitters
Hospital staff may not provide the desired level of one-to-one attention and care needed by a very ill or confused patient. VNA can provide a Certified Nurse Aide to keep a close eye and give a personal, caring touch to an otherwise stressful environment.
Private Duty is for private pay clients. Some people may be eligible to receive these services at a reduced fee.
Some insurance plans may cover private duty services. We will help you determine the coverage available under your insurance.
