Hospice is appropriate for patients who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness and have declined further curative measures. Hospice affirms life through compassionate care to the terminally ill and their families. We ensure hospice patients live their final days fully, pain free and with dignity.
The program includes emotional and spiritual support for the patient, as well as the family; guidance for end-of-life decisions; and bereavement counseling. Hospice requires a physician referral.
Hospice provides a special kind of 24-hour comforting care to patients as well as their families. In addition to medical, social, emotional and spiritual assistance, emphasis is placed on education so appropriate decisions and choices may be made by the patient and family during the final stages of life.
